Apps deleted from the App Store

One entry per app per day, from our record of every confirmed change in an app's availability. A removal is only counted once it has been confirmed by a second test, and most are confirmed many times over. Apps removed from several storefronts on the same day are shown as one entry naming each storefront, so the entries are fewer than the removals — both counts are given below.

Apps that can no longer be got in any storefront are left out, because an app its developer withdrew worldwide is not evidence of anything a country did, and those cases are nearly half of all removals we hold. The test is whether the app is available somewhere today, which is not quite the same as whether it was when it went: an app removed from one storefront in 2021 and retired everywhere in 2024 will not appear here, even though that first removal was real.

This page does not rank storefronts, and the counts beside each storefront in the filter are not a league table. Over the last twelve months the largest number of removals of widely-used apps was in the United States, which has by far the largest catalogue and so the most ordinary commercial churn.
