Which App Stores are missing the most widely-used apps

All 175 storefronts Apple operates, ordered by the share of widely-used apps — 10,000+ user ratings worldwide, still on sale somewhere — that are unavailable in each. Both sides of that fraction are the apps we have tested in that storefront, so testing one harder does not inflate its figure. The typical storefront is missing 17.2%. What this ranking does not prove

A position in this list is a measurement, not a verdict. A storefront can be missing widely-used apps because they were removed, or because they were never published there, and this share does not distinguish the two — open a storefront to see which of its missing apps we actually watched leave. The middle of the table is flatter than its ends: a region-locked app is missing nearly everywhere, so about three-quarters of a typical storefront's share is a floor almost all of them stand on, and differences of a few places there mean very little.
